Mural Pricing and Costs 

The initial consultation for your custom wall mural is free. Cost and time constraints will be discussed and are predominantly dependent upon the magnitude and detail of the mural design.  Pencil sketches will be provided for your perusal and painting will not commence until your approval has been given.  Check out the Kids Murals Photo Gallery for some great ideas, or create your own custom mural designs.

Payment:

• Once a verbal agreement has been reached, you will be requested to sign a contract outlining specific details of the mural project as well as commencement and completion dates.
• A 50% down payment will be required at the start of the project, with the balance due upon completion.
• Payment may be made by cash or cheque.

Mural Cost:

• The basic cost for a mural runs $10-$30 per square foot.
• Prices vary depending on the complexity of the design.
• Additional charges may be added depending on working conditions, such as restricted hours of operation, vaulted ceilings, cramped spaces or driving time and distance.  These costs will be discussed with you in advance, however, and clearly stated on your contract.
• Pricing includes all painting materials. If specialized equipment or scaffolding is required, however, these costs will be added to the overall price of your project, 

In Preparation for Your Mural Project:

• For best results, a primer or base coat needs to be applied to your walls, after all holes/nicks have been filled in and sanded.
• Please move as much furniture as possible out of the room.
• If wall prep. it to be done by Kidsmurals.ca, this cost will be spelled out in detail on your contract and will depend on how much work needs to be done.
